{quote format_guid="bbcode" comment_id="6179" user="windblown"}gareth_w = I'm new to bitweaver as well, but let me see if i can tackle at least some of these questions for you. [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 1) Multi Category Article/News management. For example South East Dog Show Results would need to go into South East Club, Show Results, and Dog News. [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] Articles can be broken down by topics, so in short, the answer is "Yes" If you take the users to the list topics section of articles, everythign will be broken down by topic in the areas you'd like to have it in. the Article types Can be editid in "Admin types" under the articles menu to give greater control. [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 2) Is it possible to create user groups (for each local section, e.g. South East) so that pages relevant/specific to that club can only be viewed by members of that group? [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] the easiest way to set up something like that would be to use subdomains such as SouthEast.whatever.com with seperate installations of Bitweaver running on each. This would essentially provide each group with its own site. Looking over the user administration section suggests that you can create groups for each area and have that group assigned its own home page, which will achieve the same effect. I'm not sure how easy it would be to get the users into those specific groups, however. [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 3) How can membership of these groups be controlled, and is it possible to extend this to forums (e.g. each club has their own forum that only their members can participate in) [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] phpBB will allow group setting of this type without an issue, depending on how far into the Bitweaver system the admin of the boards has been taken. Again, control of groups happens in the users section of Admin. [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 4) Is it possible to assign different moderators to each club section (and forum board) to control their own membership? [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] This should be doable, though i'd have to muck around in admin a lot more before i caould be more specific... [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 5) Is there a possibility to upload images directly in the main editor - is there any other WYSIWYG editors available (FCK would be preferred) [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] Looks like you'd have to recode to add the FCK editor... I've not looked over all of these options yet, but it would be a nice plugin Image uploading doesn't seem to be supported from the main editor. this is something that could be added, but at present it seems that you'll heve to plan ahead on images and have them available. [quote:bbbe6c20a6="gareth_w"] 6) Can you create an image gallery for each club so that only the clubs can post there? Can you create an image gallery for each user that only they can publish in? Can someome also post me a link to any themes that are available to download? [/quote:bbbe6c20a6] I've got the same question, actually. but i'm still looking for a stable host to run the software on. (GoDaddy seems to be far to glitchy for this application) I'll see if i can keep the site live long enough to find out.{/quote}
